It was our first venue viewing, and also our last… A classic example of love at first sight as they say.
La Roche is a dreamy estate nestled in the mountains of the Franschhoek valley, and renowned for it’s sophisticated simplicity… The tranquil surroundings, discrete privacy and 5-star service, makes this the perfect location for our “special day”.

Transport shuttles will be provided for guests travelling between the venue and Cape Town.
For guests travelling by car, parking will be available on the estate and in walking distance to halls.

GIFT REGISTRY
Since we are still living a nomadic lifestyle, and have not found “home” yet, we find it inappropriate to accept any physical gifts from our guests. However, if you would like to present us with a symbol of congratulations, we will welcome cash, vouchers or experiences which you know we will enjoy and appreciate.
DRESS CODE
Formal, but please don’t outdress the bride and groom.
WEATHER
Typically, end of October has pleasant weather (with average highs of 24°C and average lows of 13°C). We’re hoping for no rain…but it’s the Western Cape which can easily have 4 seasons in one day, so you never know!
ACCESSIBILITY
La Roche estate is wheel chair friendly. Also be mindful of the 3km gravel road before getting to the estate.
CHILDREN
As much as we love children, we’ll be aiming for an adults-only wedding. However, please do speak to us if this will be a problem for you.
PHOTOS
We kindly appeal to all our guests to not use any phones in the chapel during the ceremony. Please appreciate and embrace the moment with us. There will be professional photographers capturing every single moment which we will gladly share with you. Similarly, we request that no pictures of the bridal couple be shared on social media without our consent.
